Before we begin, Let me say: you could have At least put in Moderate effort in creating this.

There's not much to say really. Rather than any kind of gameplay we have a cinematic experience. I assume the style is an artistic choice, which for me personally don't really hit home.

Disturbing, strange, unnerving; I assume that's what you were aiming to convey. Also quite emotional. The ending was very unnerving to me. All in all a pretty well made portrait of mental illness.

I find it peculiar that agility gives air damage, intelligence gives fire damage, and chance gives water. You need to get chance in order to get items, but what if you don't want to focus on water damage? Likewise opting for another stat pretty much "locks you in" on a specific playstyle.
You would have more creative freedom in case they were separate; or perhaps in case water, earth, fire and air damage was replaced with just a single kind of damage, I guess that might not be in your interest though.

In October 2024?
Incredible stuff. Gonna take a while to decipher that code.
I tried shooting the monster thing with the balls but it seems it disappears if you enter any room with traps.
Mystery is so complex it has my gears grinding hard. It's a nice feeling. There are a bit too many ideas to include in a comment.

I’d love to hear your theories! Maybe we need a forums thread or something for discussion

I only did a quick playthrough so I may be a bit off. Music is out of tune at times. It feels a bit jank. I don't see the benefit of using end turn. Also it can be pretty hard to tell the rhythm you're supposed to follow. The combats are cool conceptually but I feel like they need to be more fleshed out. Overall the game is pretty cool and looks good.

Broulder responds:

Thank you for your feed back! We'll definitely take all of that into consideration as we work to polish and improve the game! :)

This is almost sort of spoilers, so put carrots in your eyes:

you can overtake the last place if you're in first place and the marathon is several laps, or perhaps my English isn't that good. Question one I would read as (6)/(2(1+2)), which would be 1.

Little-Radiodemon responds:

That's not overtaking last place, that would be lapping them, but I get what you are saying.

For question one - B(rackets)O(perators)D(ivision)M(ultiplication)A(ddition)S(ubtraction), you don't need to add additional brackets in.

Either I'm very bad at math, or consistently unlucky; the former being the more likely.

This game is very cool. Art is cool, gameplay is cool, atmosphere is cool, music is good, animations could use some work. It does feel like a drag sometimes, you don't get the opportunity to use creative builds or whatever we call them since it's circumstantially too hard. It's fun to try to think of synergies.

Overall I do not really understand it. A tutorial could be very helpful. I assumed items being sent to the graveyard were just deleted from the game, though it appears that the graveyard is equivalent to a discard pile in a card game. I think a tutorial is the number one thing this game needs right now.

To me it seems this game is intended to be played with a party, multiple members in your team.

I need to mention that a common cause of death for me is the game crashing.

Miroko responds:

Yeah the game uses a loop of going to your discard bag, and when you're deck bag is empty they go there.
Could you PM one of us about the game crashing and how and when it happens? We want to look into it.
Thanks for playing!

The art is pretty nice. The presentation is pretty nice. What's not nice is clicking over and over to get to see everything. -310 $ to get to see all the artwork is not fun.

aplovestudio responds:

I uploaded all of the card art to my art tab, there's a link in the description

This game is a masterpiece. Every frame is an artwork. Gameplay is amazing, and addictive. Amazing story. Awesome music. The one thing I don't get is ravioli.

If I'm honest I haven't beaten Monday mode yet.

I don't understand how you can turn Garfield into this.

Edit*

Sorry, Gorestar. I'm a gamer

Fingers feel like spaghetti, I'm still shaking from adrenaline. Holy shit I actually beat it. What a glorious and beautiful ending. After many, many tries I conquered Gorestar on Monday mode and I feel so rewarded for it. I can't remember the last time a game proposed such a challenge for me. I never fully beat r-type on gameboy tho.. I only remember failing over and over and over.

I guess if Garfiled canonically don't like ravioli it makes sense that it's not good. If it had more damage, more range and higher fire rate it would be okay; but it's a kinda neat concept that powerups can be bad, even the normal gun is better than it. I feel like beating the game with ravioli could be more of a challenge then Monday mode.
I have noticed Garfiled references here and there but still think I would appreciate it more in case I was more acquainted with it.
I don't think it was quite the intention but I really like the bisexual- and trans pride color-schemes.

Finally I want to say thank you for this experience. I even got kind of inspired to create a shoot em up myself.

Very stylish and it feels like playing a gameboy game. Great fun. Music is great. The only weapon that I don't quite get is the charged blast, it feels difficult to use. Instant deaths can be very annoying. Overall I only wish it was longer.
45600 highscore so far.

WLCSoft responds:

Thank you! Nice highscore! :) The charged blast causes a lot of damage but it must be aimed accurately so you don't miss the shot. It's a little challenging. This is the demo version of the game. The full version has two more stages and the real ending cutscene. You can purchase the complete version at: https://wlenechaves.itch.io/game-ganbatterobochan . Thanks for your feedback.

the only thing I'm good at is letting people down.
