Is there anything about this game that isn't amazing?
The gameplay reminded me of alien hominid (but this has more mechanics), and the imp shares the laugh quirk with the ice king from castle crashers.

Seems like saving doesn't work. If I quit it doesn't load at the last checkpoint, it just starts over from start.

I hate grinding for money to get powerups. How can you tell if you're playing the game at the intended level of challenge if you need to buy an upgrade to beat it? If the challenge is set to be the same for all players you know that you're not over/under levelled/powered. I decided to not buy any powerups in my first playthrough, since it didn't feel right. That was a challenge. Even with every powerup in a second playthrough the game was still challenging for me.

I don't know if I found all the hidden chests. Some way to view your progress on everything you've collected, or at least an indication that you've collected everything if you did would be nice. It seems there is no reward except for for the eggs.

I wish the headbonk did a tiny bit more damage towards the bosses. It's still rewarding to use.

The 4th wall breaking humour was pretty lost on me. it wasn't terrible but in my opinion that was the part that could use the most improvement.

Having spent an eternity trying to beat the bosses the last thing you wanna do is do it again. I had some not very great feelings when facing the final boss. Thankfully it was still the easiest one for me.

I was surprised how large this game is. I did not expect to spent this much time on it, I didn't know browser games on newgrounds could have this size.

The level design is really good. I was pretty lost more than a few times. The complexity is very fun. Boss battles also have nice variety. Swinging around and trying to shoot stuff, and perhaps also trying to do other air acrobatics at the same time, is so fun I wish there was more of it. (What if you were to unlock a chicken as a mount at some point?)

Overall an awesome game.

charming, nice blip blips, fun to design rovers. Constructing a rover however is inconvenient and unintuitive. Why do you have to draw all of it in one go? Why can't you undo, remove or add? I have no idea how to gain points.

This is a very neat time waste. Well put together, feels cool to play. I enjoyed it. (I was disappointed at myself for not managing to get through the area, after which you collect death's games, without using the scythe).
Artstyle is great. Characters have great personality.

It's hard to think about bad things to say about the game.. well the story doesn't make much sense. Why would Dracula not remember? And why do the blood things defy physics if those physics are what causes the collapse later? Am I understanding things right? I guess the blood things just felt like it.

Overall a great experience, great atmosphere, neat game.

This level is harder than it is in the super hexagon version, since you're allowed to touch edges in that one. It would be interesting to see all levels of super hexagon in this style. I like these graphics very much

Too bad the full version isn't available on newgrounds. It's a cool game, challenging, neat style and music, graphics are good. A bit short and not much variety.

What a wonderful collab.

It bugs me a bit that you sometimes need to wait for the bugs to turn around to get a good look at them, and the glass can also be in the way.

whimsical-wife responds:

Ohoho it bugs you..

Well, all in all it's pretty fun, simple. It did get quite boring after some time though.

Having to wait to shoot is not fun.
Some weird bug makes me teleport backwards when shooting sometimes.
It lags bad sometimes.

Generally I'm not a fan of game that require you to grind in order for you to beat them but in this game not that much grinding is required to unlock every tank. I don't know if there's a max level to the bonus energy and health.
I don't know if you're supposed to use a specific tactic to beat the boss. The first three times it just ran me over.. the next time I destroyed it in seconds.

You could add some powerups to pick up in the arena.
Some nice metal music would suit it very well.
What is the end goal? How do you really win? There isn't any hint of progression or completion, objectives or direction (in the game). Also I think there could be levels with specific challenges instead of a single room and upgrades significantly affect difficulty.
I understand if you did this in a rush and don't really have time to add or adjust things.

SubsolarGames responds:

thanks for your advice, i agree the energy mechanic is a bit annoying and the pathfinding the enemies use causes a quite a bit of lag.

I have a hard time realizing when to tap, the auditory indicator isn't very clear to me.

Overall the style is great, artwork is good, music isn't bad, sounds are good, gameplay is simple

despite it being very short the artwork is impressive. I'd like to see fullscreen mode (since it doesn't fit my screen.

Oxim responds:

I made a Full Screen opt in the version executable available in Itch.io because this function are disable in HTML version, so you can go to the Itch.io page to go play the game with more velocity of the player and full screen.
1 or 2 button to put window or fullscreen mode.

For some reason I don't get medals for this game. And all my scores always go back to zero eventually. To me what matters the is beating the game and not my score so that isn't a big deal for me.

This is friday night funkin', I don't feel I can really add anything that hasn't already been said better by others before.
The week-end update was so cool it forced me to commit to playing this. And gradually improving is an extremely rewarding process, being able to beat levels I thought was impossible. Everything about this game is cool and the music is so good.

Now I didn't create one of the most popular rhythm games on the web but I do find it strange that Darnell isn't the final boss (presumably), as he was the mascot for the audio portal. The fighting felt really out of place but I suppose it can be seen as interactive cinematic.

I write things that people don't like to read
