Is there anything about this game that isn't amazing?
The gameplay reminded me of alien hominid (but this has more mechanics), and the imp shares the laugh quirk with the ice king from castle crashers.
Seems like saving doesn't work. If I quit it doesn't load at the last checkpoint, it just starts over from start.
I hate grinding for money to get powerups. How can you tell if you're playing the game at the intended level of challenge if you need to buy an upgrade to beat it? If the challenge is set to be the same for all players you know that you're not over/under levelled/powered. I decided to not buy any powerups in my first playthrough, since it didn't feel right. That was a challenge. Even with every powerup in a second playthrough the game was still challenging for me.
I don't know if I found all the hidden chests. Some way to view your progress on everything you've collected, or at least an indication that you've collected everything if you did would be nice. It seems there is no reward except for for the eggs.
I wish the headbonk did a tiny bit more damage towards the bosses. It's still rewarding to use.
The 4th wall breaking humour was pretty lost on me. it wasn't terrible but in my opinion that was the part that could use the most improvement.
Having spent an eternity trying to beat the bosses the last thing you wanna do is do it again. I had some not very great feelings when facing the final boss. Thankfully it was still the easiest one for me.
I was surprised how large this game is. I did not expect to spent this much time on it, I didn't know browser games on newgrounds could have this size.
The level design is really good. I was pretty lost more than a few times. The complexity is very fun. Boss battles also have nice variety. Swinging around and trying to shoot stuff, and perhaps also trying to do other air acrobatics at the same time, is so fun I wish there was more of it. (What if you were to unlock a chicken as a mount at some point?)
Overall an awesome game.
